Dr. Carfagno
currently serves as a medical director for Ironman
Arizona and Valley of the Sun Half Marathon. He
also serves as the medical director for the Special
Olympics of Arizona. He is co–founder
of Onsite Sports Medicine, a non–profit
charitable sports medicine group that covers
sporting events in the valley. He is a medical
consultant for the Chinese National Baseball
Team and United States Inline Skating. On a local
level, he serves a team physician for several
local area high schools.
He has served
as a medical consultant for United States Baseball,
Milwaukee Brewers Baseball, ATP/WTA Professional
Tennis, Arizona Fall League Baseball, and recently
was an invited physician at the United States Olympic
Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
There he worked with US Wrestling, US Waterpolo,
and US Speed Skating.
Dr. Carfagno
is a published author and featured speaker on a
variety of sports medicine topics including Concussions,
Athletes with Arthritis, Steroids in Sport, and
sports supplementation.
